I’d Rather be Lonely Alone

David said I’m doing god’s work,

now I have a new definition for codependency.

There’s gravity inside me

pulling for moons to circle 

the planets revolving in my blood

aren’t we all trying for something bright

to be in our orbit when we pull the covers 

over another dead day?

Loneliness is a knock without an answer

with TV silhouettes in windows.
